Who is required to pay closing costs on real estate, if the deal does not?
We were about to buy a home. Just two days before closing something unexpected came when I had to cancel the purchase and waive the earnest money. Now, the loan officer is asking for evaluation study, and credit report. Does anyone know if I am responsible for the costs of thesis?
I paid for the evaluation because it is necessary to get my loan but that was out of pocket, not serious money … The survey is a different story, because it is something that the seller should have taken in hand and benefit owners about the buyer who comes … The same could be said of the evaluation, though … Ask your loan officer to show they were in the contract signed with them that you are responsible for any of these charges …
