real estate database design
How much supply on the web page design?

I am a hobby PHP / HTML / SQL developer site. I received a phone call, a major real estate company wants to design and maintain a website for them, but I'm sure what charges or offering for the service from I've only built the major systems for charity. That will be the database engine, and list homes with descriptions and photographs, also taking an administration area … I suppose you want to upload your photos and keep it current. I can host myself, I know this is cheap … I guess the offer is in the design of and maintenance. The person who got me the job said that the money is not important, in gold or ski company selling cabins, etc. What / How can I apply this work and still make sure I get the business. My contact tells me that another offer is not in this project at this time.

Unfortunately, I can give you a number, but I can give you advice on How to find your number. I say numbers because it takes two, maybe three. The first number is for the design, development and hosting of the site. Just because they will host oneself does not mean you can not charge $ 19.95 per month. Another thing, not sell yourself short. If you are good at what you do, do not be afraid to charge for it. Use a calculation as follows: (Estimated Time of Dev + 30%) * Hourly rate for a person of your skill level. (I develop. Net, so my rates may be different, but I, hourly rate as an expert who start at $ 120 / hour). If you are intermediate, maybe $ 60. The second number is an hourly cost for maintaining the site (the same but for an hour, there is an estimate). The minimum charge however, does not matter how small the change should be 1 hour, which encourages them to change the group together and not call 10 times a day. (That would be 10 hours billed for 10 calls, the actual invoice with a minimum of 1 hour for 1 call). I'd take the two numbers, for starters, that should get pretty close to what you want to charge. If the number seems shocking that, remember, your time is worth it. If you are under their motivation to continue the project will weaken and quality will be affected. The other thing is, with their estimates, the project that, within a period of time. If you take 40 hours to finish, but you can only put in 10 hours a week, payment schedule accourdingly. If takes three months, are paid in three parts, etc. Want to give a pair of frequency payment options, but all have a percentage of the money upfront, in the middle and end.
